I saw a news piece on TV the other day and it really made an impression on me and made me think.
We all know the devastation and destruction in Haiti and just how horrible the situation is there. Thank God for the individuals that are donating time and money to help these poor people out. Then they showed this guy.
Now he has been there helping to rebuild as he is a mechanic. Bravo, great job. He ran into a young kid that was planning on joining a gang which even more have sprang up since the disaster.
He found out that what the kid really wanted to be was a mechanic but the school was destroyed. Gentleman decided to bring this kid to the USA, put him in mechanic school then ship him home to Haiti.
Wouldn’t the money have been better spent to rescue more children or build homes/shelters?
How traumatic is returning a kid that never knew this kind of life back to the hell hole that is Haiti right at the moment?
I’m not trying to be mean here, after all any help is a God send but does this make sense to you or am I totally wrong?
