Hope everyone survived the festivities yesterday and didn’t get any coal in their stockings. I had a nice time opening gifts when Hubby and Son got back from KCMO. Got stuff I needed and wanted and then something I wasn’t expecting, a travel sized DVD player from Daughter and SIL. They even got it in red to match my computer, cool!
Did you ever get something you really like, didn’t know you wanted it and then have to return it because it doesn’t work? Guess what I got that isn’t working…my pretty cool, red DVD player. Daughter was distraught when I had to call and find out where she got it from so we can exchange it for one that’s working. Bites the big one. Hubby is going to rescue me though and fight the crowds at the local Target. He has a double plan though, he got a neat Garmin GPS unit and now he wants the charger, USB cable, cover for it, etc. so he is shopping for the extras while he exchanges my non-working gift. Works for me.
I am pretty much over the crud I had but I’m at the whipped stage that follows a stomach bug. Got to be better by Saturday cause that’s when I get my tattoo, woo-hoo! Pictures will follow afterward cause I have to show it off. Heck, I may even show off Hubby’s since he is getting one done too.
Well, let’s see what I can find to have some fun.

Glad you’re better. Can’t wait to see the tattoo. Only a few more days and this blippin’ year will be behind us forever. Yipee!

Hi sweetie – I’m so glad you’re on the mend. That stomach bug bites — it took me several weeks to get back to my normal silly self. So, rest, rest, rest! Loved the chuckle about the perky breasts — I always say mine used to worship the sun, now they adore my toes! Happy day after!

Those of us who were “blessed” with larger breasts have had to fight gravity tooth and nail. No blessing there. I’m thinking of forgetting a bra and just rolling them up and clipping them in place.

You will learn that the newest group of “old ladies” aren’t shy. Glad you could learn about our gravity problems and appreciate that you don’t have to worry about things like that.
I will be looking for your post, I’m assuming Robbie was sick 😦

What a bummer! I’m sorry to hear your portable DVD wasn’t working. But it sounds like it was really thought out by your daughter and SIL, that was sweet. Sounds like your husband made out pretty good too.
Let’s see I got perfume, a pearl necklace, Nike shoes & a much needed mixer. I love my Nike shoes, I’m a Nike, jeans & t-shirt type of gal. Can’t stand when they start to look aged so my boys made a good call. As for the baking I will not be doing any more baking for a while now, I have eaten pies & cookies galore. lol! Joe got his WOW expansion pack & his Sirius Radio, so I think he made out pretty good on his list. 😉
Happy to hear you are doing better. Have a good weekend! 🙂

Yeah, they did a good job but Target is a pain in the caboose. Unless my daughter mails us the receipt, we can’t even exchange it for a different one let alone get the money back and buy a different one. We just wanted to do an even exchange but they would not do it. They live in KC so it wasn’t like I could just “pop” over and get it. At least Hubby went to WalMart and got his accessories for his GPS so he is happy as a clam.
You made out pretty good there on the loot. 🙂

Hi Delaney! Haven’t been here in a while – been delinquent, sorry. Glad to hear your holidays went well. I hope you already got your working DVD player. As usual, love your photos!

Oh no, so now you have to wait for them to mail you the receipt. I can’t believe target is being so difficult! I’m sorry! They can scan can’t they to pull up the info on the purchase with the item #? Well I guess not because if so they would have already done it. Sorry just thinking out loud. I’m sorry you have to wait a bit longer to get to play with your new toy. 😦

Glad to see you back and hopefully more often. Hope your holiday went well.
Betty:
They wouldn’t even offer to scan it. I was wondering why Hubby got done so fast, but if they only accept things back with the receipt then lots of people were in the same boat. Thing that ticked me off was it was in the complete package just like we got it. We didn’t take it back without the manufacturers box, packaging and booklets. Oh well, what can you do?
