I have one new copy of Charlaine Harris’s Newest Sookie Stackouse book, “Dead and Gone” in the hardback edition to give away to one lucky winner.
If you haven’t read any of the Sookie Stackhouse series you really should. They are very well written, funny and engaging always leaving you wanting more. This series is the basis for the new HBO series True Blood which will be starting it’s second season and it is great even though it is a bit different than the books. Sookie and her world is just that great.
Here is the synopsis from Amazon:
Except for Sookie Stackhouse, folks in Bon Temps, Louisiana, know little about vamps—and nothing about weres.

My daughter and I watched a few episodes of the HBO series True Blood. It wasn’t really my cup of tea, but my daughter really enjoys vampire stories like that.
The book sounds really interesting. I’d like to see how it compares to the HBO version. I’m sure my daughter, the bookworm, would enjoy reading it too.

Hi D – I can’t believe you’re giving it away! I have my entire collection and will NEVER let them go!!! Did you like it? (stupid question, of course you did; it’s Charlaine Harris). Taking it easy today, napping, reading, hitting a tiny bit of Percoset (injection site still pretty tender) But I’m walking like I’m 20 years old again and it makes me so very happy I could (and have) cry with joy. Yippee skippee! Devoted Spouse is doing the “what can I get you” routine and he just has it down pat. He’s such a sweetie. Well, time for the icepack treatment and a little more “happy meds). Yes! I have read them all (except the latest) and seen all the episodes. I actually started watching the HBO show first and then found the novels. I am patiently waiting for more!
